OGSA Partners is a private investment partnership founded by George Alster and Omri Grynholc-Shoval. We are searching for one exceptional UK business to acquire, run, and grow.
OGSA Partners was founded at Columbia Business School by George Alster and Omri Grynholc-Shoval, two classmates who chose to build their careers around one business, not a portfolio.
George and Omri met at Columbia Business School in 2024 and decided to search together rather than alone. A partnership means every decision is examined twice. It also means the business we acquire gets two committed operators, not one.
Our skills are deliberately complementary. George leads the commercial work: sourcing, relationships, and growth. Omri leads operations and transactions: diligence, structure, and execution. Between us, we cover the full arc of an acquisition, from the first conversation to years of ownership.
We are not a fund. We have no portfolio, no fixed exit horizon, and no interest in a quick sale. We intend to acquire one business in the United Kingdom, move into it, and run it.
That focus changes behaviour. We can be patient where a fund cannot. We can protect what makes a business work: its people, its customers, its name. We answer to ourselves, not to a fund's timetable, and we think in years, not quarters.
George leads OGSA's commercial work: sourcing, relationships, and the search itself. Before OGSA, he spent four years at Baringa Partners in London, a strategy consultancy specialising in energy and infrastructure, where he rose from analyst to senior consultant and managed client relationships across the UK, the US, and Israel.
He has also built businesses of his own: a virtual private membership club spanning London and New York and a hygiene distribution company founded during the pandemic. He holds a First-Class MEng in Chemical Engineering from UCL and an MBA from Columbia Business School, where he was co-president of the Hospitality and Travel Association.
Outside of work, George plays as much tennis and golf as possible, only stopping to be the fun uncle to his five nieces and nephews.
Omri leads OGSA's operations and transaction execution. He spent four years at Harbor Group International, a global real estate private equity firm with over $21 billion in assets under management, where he oversaw the firm's Israeli investments end to end, from sourcing and diligence to negotiation and closing, and helped raise over $1 billion of capital. As part of his role, he led acquisitions of ownership stakes in real estate companies and subsequently partnered with management teams as an active shareholder, supporting strategic and operational initiatives.
Before his investment career, he served in the Israeli Intelligence Corps, where he received a Unit Honor of Excellence. He holds a BA in Economics and an MA in Financial Economics from Reichman University and earned his MBA from Columbia Business School in 2026, where he served as President of the Israel Business Association.
Away from work, he is an avid traveler, having visited more than 40 countries, and a lifelong sports enthusiast.
We are looking for one established, profitable business in the United Kingdom. Sector matters less than quality. These are the characteristics we weight most.
Contracted, repeat, or subscription income that makes next year's revenue knowable. Long customer relationships and low churn.
Mission critical services customers cannot easily go without. Operationally embedded, and often required by regulation.
Markets with many small operators and no dominant national platform, leaving room for a careful owner to build.
A capable team already in place who know the business and its customers, and want to keep building it.
A record of steady profits through cycles. We are not a turnaround investor.
An owner thinking about succession, who cares who takes over, not only the price.
Selling a business is a considered decision. The process should be too. Ours is simple, confidential, and moves at the owner's pace.
Confidential and without obligation. We want to understand the business and what its owner wants from a transition.
We sign an NDA, review information, and ask considered questions. We do not waste an owner's time.
If there is a fit, we set out our valuation and terms plainly in a letter of intent, and complete diligence efficiently.
Completion and a handover designed around the owner, their people, and their customers.
Whether you are a business owner considering a transition, an intermediary with a mandate, or simply want to learn more, we are always happy to talk.
There are no automated replies and no gatekeepers. You will hear directly from George or Omri within 24 hours.
All enquiries are treated with complete confidentiality. We sign NDAs at any stage of the conversation.
